R.B. Beck is an author and storyteller who found their voice in the wild, beautiful landscapes of Alaska. Growing up surrounded by snow-capped mountains, endless forests, and the dancing lights of the aurora borealis, Beck developed a deep love for the magic hidden in nature and the power of stories that bring families together.
Drawing from years of campfire tales, family traditions, and the “nearly true” stories passed down through generations of Alaskan families, Beck crafts adventures that spark imagination while celebrating the bonds of family and the importance of keeping promises. The Nearly True Adventures of Carayak and the Red-Bearded Man is the first book in the Tales from the North series. When not writing, Beck can be found exploring the Alaskan wilderness, sipping hot chocolate, and dreaming up new adventures.
